A seminar on the Reform of the national law in light of Ukrainian integration with the EU

Evgen Kubko, president of the Salkom law Firm, attended a round-table discussion of the reform of the national law in light of Ukrainian integration with the EU held on 25 May 2017 at the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. Other presentation were made by Ukraine’s Minister of Justice Pavlo Petrenko, Oleksandr Ruvin, Director of the Kiev Forensic Research Institute, Oleksandr Kopylenko, Director of the Institute of Law of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, members of the Ukrainian parliament, and prominent academicians.

The organisers aimed at creating an open forum for discussing the most important aspects of the development of the national law taking into account the new conditions of the modern democratic society and the country’s progress towards the European standards of state administration.

The participants discussed the reform of Ukrainian law and national specifics of the Ukrainian society, problems that arise in the course of the reform, standards and timelines for putting them into practice.

The Forum, held on 24 May 2017, was organised by the Yuridicheskaya Praktika. Presentations were made by government officials, judges, and businessmen, who suggested strategies and tactics for trans-border tracing of assets. The Forum was also attended by international experts who discussed technologies of financial investigations in banking sector and shared their experience of using social networks to trace assets.
